Annotation Management

Assurance AI’s annotation (label) feature helps you further enrich regulatory content by adding your own organization, group, or even individual tags to any document on the platform.

The Annotation Management feature found within the Compliance Assurance Hub, is designed to help all organization members organize, share, delete, add, and rename labels.

Accessing Annotation Management

The first step to leverage labels within Assurance AI is adding new labels to the platform. You can add labels on a one off basis within Manage Annotations or while annotating a specific document or fragment of a document. Typically, if you’re just starting to use this functionality, you’ll want to add your labels in bulk using our import template.

Importing Labels – Downloading a Sample Template

To prepare your label import, simply follow the instructions on sheet 1 of the Excel file, add your labels, including label name, label type, label description, external identifiers. Once you’re familiar with the template, just follow the specified format for any upload and add your spreadsheet in either XLSX or CSV format. Your new labels will be added automatically and are immediately available for use within the platform.

If you change your tagging (labeling) standards, you can edit existing labels within Assurance AI by selecting the label in question and editing any label attribute. If you no longer need the label, simply delete it. Note that you can delete labels individually or in bulk.

Manage Annotations: Edit Label

If you want to manage labels within the context of a collection, simply access Risk Pillars > Obligation Library and click on the label count for the label in question.

For more details on how collections can impact your members’ experience of labels and other types of annotations within the platform, review our Obligation Library training

Managing Annotations within the Obligation Library

If your organization needs to maintain confidentiality or even just clarity of purpose across different parts of your enterprise with respect to labeling, our labeling capabilities will help you balance the ease of use you’re familiar with in using Assurance AI labeling with the need to create team, group, or even member-specific labels as needed.

Try adding labels to track relationships to policies, key projects, or regulations and easily review and update using Manage Annotations.
